Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for solution based wholesaling of Mutual Funds / Managed Accounts Investment products through Third Party Distribution.
-Maximize all sales opportunities throughout assigned territory and maintain partnership with existing external and internal wholesaler.
-Travel within territory 30 to 50% conducting proactive meetings including seminars, group presentations, one-on-one appointments and attending designated conferences.
-Develop and maintain a business plan for assigned territory.
-Works as an extension of the external wholesaler not as support of the external wholesaler.
-Manage travel and entertainment budget to assigned amount.
-Located in home office 40 to 60% making proactive phone calls within territory.
-Acts as their own internal wholesaler.
-Minimum 2 years financial service experience.
-Knowledge of financialproducts ( annuities, mutual funds, managed accounts )
-College degree or equivalent level of experience.
-Internal Wholesaling experience preferred.
-Superior ability to build relationships.
-Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
-Willingness to travel and stay overnight.
-State Insurance License(s) for geographic region assigned.
-FINRA Registration ( Series 6 or 7, 63 or 65 )
-Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
-Build and expand relationships with predetermined opportunistic list of prospects and clients.
-Fluid relationship and communication with external partner for strategic planning.
